Schools, families, students & trusts
From bake sales to sponsored runs, school events to birthday fundraisers, community supporters power our work year after year. Because we stay deliberately small, we can show you exactly what your support achieved — through child-friendly impact reports, assemblies, case studies and updates from Mumbai.
Chose us as their charity champion — then fundraised for two whole years for their peers in Mumbai.
The newly-weds had everything they needed — so asked wedding guests to give to Child Action instead of gifts.

School on Wheels
£200K+donated since 2016
The Goyal Foundation visited Doorstep School and Toybank on a trip to India and fell in love with the work both our partners were doing. Self-made entrepreneur Avnish Goyal and science teacher Anita Goyal know education is the key to unlocking poverty, and understand the importance of resilience. Together they sponsored a School on Wheels for 8 years, and since 2016 they have donated over £200K for Child Action's work.
Opentree Foundation
~£100Kover 8 years
Our first major donor watched Slumdog Secret Millionaire and was greatly moved by the plight of the children featured, who were growing up on rubbish dumps. A firm believer in the power of play, M prefers to remain anonymous — but donated nearly £100K over 8 years to support the initial scale-up of the Opentree Foundation's work giving children back their right to a childhood.

David Millary was at the International School of Lusaka with Seema Sharma. They both credit their entrepreneurial spirit to growing up abroad, travel and a constantly changing childhood landscape. The Millary Fund is now one of our strongest supporters: as well as donating nearly £150K in grants via CAF America to date, David and Seema regularly discuss strategic direction for the projects, and have mapped out a joint working plan for the next 5 years.
A legacy gift

We are very grateful to Richard and Doreen Sutton, who left us a legacy of £75K to sponsor a School on Wheels for 7 years. Their generous legacy will help give 350 children a lift from poverty, so they can stand on their own feet.
