Because we stay deliberately small, we can show you exactly what your support achieved — through child-friendly impact reports, assemblies, case studies and updates from Mumbai.

Empowerment through education

Avnish and Anita Goyal became long-term champions of our work after visiting Door Step School and Toybank (now The Opentree Foundation) in Mumbai. Through The Goyal Foundation, whose mission is to empower children, young people and women and to tackle disadvantage in the UK and abroad, they have supported Child Action with over £200,000, strengthening our programmes in foundational learning, resilience and girls' education, and sponsoring a School on Wheels for seven years.

Moved by Slumdog Secret Millionaire, Martin has donated nearly £100,000 to help scale the work of The Opentree Foundation, restoring childhood, play and emotional wellbeing for thousands of children. Through the Nick Kilhams Foundation — which supports people affected by suicidal thoughts or suicide — Martin brings a deep commitment to protecting vulnerable lives. His support for Child Action reflects that same belief: that every child deserves safety, stability and the chance to thrive.
Opportunity through education

The Millary Fund, established by David Millary (a childhood school friend of Seema's) and his wife Bonnie, has donated nearly £150,000 to strengthen our work in foundational learning, play-based education and girls' empowerment. Through EduPlus International, David brings a commitment to education and opportunity that aligns closely with Child Action's mission. He and Seema also collaborate on strategy to deepen impact for children growing up in Mumbai's street and slum communities.
