Safeguarding

Every child has the right to be safe. Safeguarding is a governance priority for Child Action's trustees, and it shapes how we choose and work with our partners.

How our work is delivered. Child Action funds work with children rather than delivering it directly. We only partner with organisations that have robust safeguarding policies of their own. Our current partners, Doorstep School and The Opentree Foundation, each maintain and enforce child-protection frameworks, which we review as part of our partnership — as did Apnalaya during our years of working together.

Photographs. Images of children on this website are used with the knowledge and consent of our partner organisations. We do not identify children by full name, and we will remove any image on request — contact us at info@child-action.org.

Raising a concern. If you have a safeguarding concern relating to our work or our partners, contact us at info@child-action.org. Concerns are reviewed by our designated safeguarding lead, our founder Seema Sharma.
